ULTRA HI-RESOLUTION VIDEO made After First and Second Stage seperation
In the video the bottom left bright object is the Second stage, the top right is the Booster (First stage) falling back to Earth.
The white contrail is the rocket exhaust from the Second stage, which is firing it's Merlin engine to take the satellites into orbit.
The nosecone of a rocket contains the satellite payload inside protecting them. In the SpaceX design, these are like clamshells, which break apart once the rocket is out of Earth's atmosphere, in Space.
The two halves (fairings) can be seen on either side of the Second stage in the video, falling to earth behind it, but the First stage booster (upper right).
The fairings land at sea by parachute and are picked up by a ship, return to land, are refurbished and will fly at the top of a rocket again!
The much larger and heavier First Stage Booster uses it's engine to land on a barge at sea. You can see flashes as it fires thruster rockets to position itself for return to earth landing.
