New Glenn, named after John Glenn (first American to Orbit Earth) is a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle by Blue Origin.
Design of the vehicle began in 2012 (over 12 years in the making).

Illustrations of the vehicle, and the high-level specifications, were released to the public in September of 2016.
New Glenn is a two-stage rocket, its first stage powered by 7 BE-4 engines designed and manufactured by Blue Origin.
New Glenn's first stage is designed to be reusable with a propulsive landing on a recovery vessel.
It failed to land on it's first attempt, lost at sea.
The second stage is powered by Hydrogen-LOX. The second stage reached orbit as designed.
