This was the 4th launch for this particular booster. This firat stage booster previously flew on the GPS-III missions 4 and 5, as well as the Inspiration 4 all-civilian crewed mission to orbit in September 2021.

Both the first and second stages are powered by Merlin engines, using cryogenic liquid oxygen (LOX) and rocket-grade kerosene (RP-1) as propellants.

Unlike most rockets, Falcon 9 is partially reusable. The first stage is capable of re-entering the atmosphere and landing vertically after separating from the second stage. Additionally, Falcon 9's payload fairing is also reusable. The payload fairing halves utilize a parafoil to steer themselves towards a recovery vessel.
